Thursday, we went to Sunway to COD with Michelle for my stuffs, Max wanted to visit the new Sunway Pyramid. cute parking systeM! SEARH FOR GREEN LIGHTz!
anyway, back to this Nol Boo restaurant. i dont know why i’m constantly craving for korean and japanese food nowadays, i mean these few months. i remember one day when i was blog hopping, i saw a good review on this restaurant and we decided to give it a try. it is situated just beside the skating ring, somewhere near Teppanyaki if my memory serves my right. we had our brunch here.
Max was broke at that moment and he ordered fried chicken set, which comes with, errr, the rice and fried chicken. dont understand why its stated there “set”.

the chicken tasted ok, rice served with some sesame garnished on top. i dont quite like it as i’m not used to eating stuffs that are too dry. at least some gravy please? chicken chop rice [cant remember the exact name], RM9.00.
i ordered chicken dupbab. chicken chunks fried with spring onions, onions, enoki mushrooms and hot sauce. could not finish it, was having mouth ulcer =.= … it tasted well, OK to me. it comes with a set of 3 side dishes and a soup. Chicken dupbab, RM17.00.

sidedish1 : blackbeans. i thought it should be sweet instead of savoury. tasted bland as if it was drained from a pot of black bean soup. just, simply bland.

sidedish2 : pickled green beans. tasted sour to me. very very bad! i think its not fresh. max took two and we totally isolated that dish.
sidedish3 : forgot to take a snap of the kimchi. didnt try it though, mouth ulcer killing me!

soup : egg soup with carrots and spring onions. Max finished this bowl i think. no complaints.

for the drinks, i had peach tea, which tasted like lipton’s diluted peach tea. RM5.00 while Max ordered Mango juice. i like the mango juice, its like blending 1 whole mango. no sugar added, nice. RM6.00 for mango juice.
with 10% of service charge, the bill came up to RM40.70 for a brunch for two. definately will not consider coming back to this place anymore.
